Glazed partitioning and fire screen inspection, repair and maintain
We support our clients with Fire Door Inspection Services to ensure that existing installations are fully compliant with fire safety regulations. Following recent developments in the UK, regulators and insurers are increasingly insistent that all fire doors must be installed in accordance with these regulations and are regularly inspected to provide maximum protection. Worksmarts’ trained inspectors are certified by the Fire Door Inspection Scheme (FDIS).
The FDIS is Europe’s first fire door inspection scheme and we are proud to be an FDIS Supporter. It was launched in 2012 as a joint venture between the BWF-Certifire Scheme and the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) and aims to transform people’s knowledge about how and why fire doors work and the potential dangers of getting it wrong. It does this through education programs, awareness campaigns like the Fire Door Safety Week campaign, sharing important changes and updates to legislation and regulations (as well as best practice and new developments) and maintaining a database of FDIS Certified Inspectors (http://www.fdis.co.uk/inspector).
With over 16 years’ experience in installing and repairing fire doors, WorkSmart are industry experts. All our fire door inspections are conducted by FDIS certified inspectors, who undertake regular professional development programs to ensure they are up to date with evolving regulations and best practices. Up to 90 checks on 25 different components will be conducted on each door at each inspection, including ironmongery, air transfer grilles, fixing methods and intumescent seals. Findings will be recorded and detailed reports created for businesses to ensure their premises are fit for purpose.
We can also provide quotations to remedy or repair issues within the doors, frames and screens, re-inspect and sign off as compliant.
