How Can We Help You?
Firstly, we can talk. They say talk is cheap, but we go one better than that – ours is free. We are happy to talk to anyone who is looking for advice or guidance on fire safety in relevant buildings (which basically means anything that isn’t an individual dwelling). We are specialists in fire doors, but we will help you find the advice you need even if it’s not specifically to do with doors. We want to understand what’s going on where you work, the places you visit, the hotels you stay at, the college or school you go to or the care home where you visit your Grandad.
Why? Because we want to help you understand what you should expect – and what is expected of you if you are someone with responsibility for fire safety.
Secondly, we have a range of essential fire safety compliance solutions designed to assist professionals in their roles. These include inspection of existing fire doors, repair and refurbishment of existing fire doors using approved techniques and the installation of new fire doors. All our services are third party certificated by the FDIS (Fire Door Inspection Scheme) and BM Trada Q Mark – both UKAS accredited schemes. This means our customers can rest assured that they have taken all reasonable steps to comply with their obligations to appoint ‘competent persons’ to ‘ensure relevant equipment (fire doors) are kept in an efficient state’ – as defined by law. For example:
• We offer support to our colleagues in the construction industry – architects, surveyors & contractors – in the form of verification of compliance. Depending on the size of the project, we may be engaged simply to inspect newly installed fire doors or to oversee – or even carry out – the installation of fire doors on larger projects.
• We work with facilities/estates managers in the education, healthcare, hospitality and recreation sectors, providing everything from ‘one off’ fire door inspections to fully managed fire door maintenance packages – giving them peace of mind that this critical and specialised element of fire safety in their buildings is properly taken care of.
• We collaborate with social housing suppliers and private landlords (e.g. student residences) to ensure that their fire doors are fit for purpose.
